Getting Started
From the Collect feed, you will notice that insights display an Auto Summarize button. This button generates an AI-powered summary of the insight content, which appears at the top of the insight for quick review.
From there, click Auto Summarize. Kompyte will begin generating the AI summary, and a loading bar will appear to show the progress. You can stop the summary generation at any time while it is in progress.
Working with the Summary Box
Once the summary is generated, you will see several options available within the summary box:
Insert: Click Insert to close the summary box and add the generated summary as a takeaway. If a takeaway already exists, it will be replaced with the new summary. You can edit the takeaway further, then click Save when finished.
Discard: Click Discard to close the summary box and return to the takeaway for further editing without saving the generated summary.
Configure: Click Configure to open a dropdown menu with options for regenerating the summary using different styles or formats.
Summary: This is the default option shown above and generates a concise summary.
Short summary: This option generates a shorter version of the summary.
Bullet point list: Selecting this option will regenerate the summary in the format of an HTML list, organized as bullet points.
Regenerate: Clicking on "Regenerate" will request a new summary using the same configuration. Please note that since we use a language model, each regeneration will provide similar but different results.
AI Summarization Support for Attached Files
Summarizing attached files is an important capability for many users. Here’s how Kompyte GPT handles attached files within Team Insights:
Character Limit: The attachments can contain a maximum of 70,000 characters, which is approximately equivalent to 12,000 words or 50 pages when using Times New Roman 12-point font.
Handling Large Attachments: If the total length of the attachment exceeds the 70,000 character limit, our system will slice the attachments into smaller portions, ensuring that each attachment receives equal priority during the summarization process.
Corrupt Attachments: In cases where an attachment is corrupt or its contents cannot be extracted, the summarization process will proceed as usual, focusing on the available content.
Attachment Size: Please note that the maximum size for an attachment is 5MB.
Selectable Texts: Our summarization process operates exclusively on selectable texts. This means that images and text within images will not be included in the summary.
Formatting Considerations: In some instances, the extracted content may not perfectly mirror what you see in a standard PDF reader. For example, spaces may occasionally be absent. Our system strives to optimize the content to ensure compatibility with our AI models, though achieving a 1:1 match is not always
feasible.

Error Messages and Limitations
If an error occurs during the summary generation, such as the content of the insight being too large for the AI model, an appropriate error message will be displayed. In such cases, the "Insert" action will be disabled until the issue is resolved.
