Labels: Used to identify web pages only
Labels are applied only to web pages and are used to describe the web page. Kompyte’s AI will auto-label certain web pages and custom labels can also be applied under the settings area. A web page may contain more than one label.
For example, a customer service resource web page may be labeled with a category of resource. Whereas a feature web page may be labeled product or feature.
Labels display within the title of a website change in your Collect feed.
Tags: Used to categorize insights across all data sources
Tags are often time used for the categorization of insights across all data sources. Tags can be assigned to any insight type (web page change, social post, article, job posting, review etc.) to identify and organize related intel.
The below insight is tagged M&A since the press mention is about a recent acquisition.
Tags can be applied automatically using Kompyte’s automation workflow engine.
Tags can also be applied manually using the curation tools in the Collect feed.
If you do not see your desired Tag, click Create a new tag, enter a tag name, and select the tag color.
Click the 3 dots on the bottom right of the curation tools to view the insight history and whether a tag was automatically applied by a workflow or manually added by a teammate.
If a tag is applied automatically by an automation workflow, click on the Automation link to view and edit the workflow if needed.
Tags can also be managed under Settings-> Tags
You may edit the tag name or color or delete tags from this area.
Pro Tip: Create tag or label-based saved filters in your Collect feed for your highest-priority web pages and tags. Expose these filters in competitive intelligence reports and/or Battlecards.
