In addition to reports, there are numerous options for delivering targeted competitive intel across teams. Common options include real-time notifications via Email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

Enabling Notifications

To configure a notification, navigate to Automations

Click on the Create Workflow button.

For simple notifications, select one of many templated notification options as shown below.

Configure the notification parameters and click Done.

For more sophisticated notifications select Create a Custom Workflow.

Notifications can be set for insights automatically collected by Kompyte, changes made to a competitor trait, or new paid Google Ads detected.

Select Collect Based, Trait Based, or Paid Ads Based

  • Collect Based: Automated updates gathered with Kompyte

  • Trait Based: User changes made to a competitor profile or Battlecard

  • Paid Ads Based: New paid Google Ads detected by Kompyte (available with the Search Marketing feature)

Configure your notification enrollment triggers.

  • If this is for all competitors, do not set competitors

  • If your alert is for a specific company(s), set companies

  • Set notifications around saved filters, data sources (taxonomies), or for keywords found in the title or description

With the below example we have selected Collect Based and Description Contains Any Of.

Type in the various keywords, pressing enter after each keyword. Click Done.

Set an If/Then branch if you wish to segment the updates further.

  • For example, segment by saved filter or taxonomy (source).

Set your method of alert

  • Email: add all recipient email addresses for the alert.

  • Integration: select integration and channel, i.e. Slack or Microsoft Teams.

With the below Slack example, select the Slack channel, customize the notification messaging and select which tokens you want to include in the notification (by default all tokens are included). Click Done.

If needed, configure additional triggers such as highlighting the insight or classifying the insight by applying a Tag.

Click the pencil icon to give your notification a Title. Click Done.

Activate

To activate, click the Review button.

Select an option below and click Turn on.

For notifications, it is recommended you select the option to enroll insights after turning on the workflow so you do not receive up to 200 notifications for past insights that meet the configured criteria.

Disabling a Notification

To disable notifications, navigate to Automations, drill into the notification workflow.
